While searching the Internet, my father stumbled upon a dogsledding
outfitter based out of Senneterre, Quebec, a tiny town nearly
at the end of Canada route 13, about six hours north of Montreal.
He approached me with the idea of spending five days mushing from
Senneterre to Matchi-Manitou and back. The trip would include
traveling between remote, backcountry camps by dogsled until reaching
the fishing village 60 km away.
The more I thought about the idea, the more it seemed like a good
